Personal Background of the Foundation President:
As the president of Marley’s Heart of Light, my own traumatic loss journey of grief and hope shapes every aspect of our mission. I am a divorced mother of four sons who tragically passed due to addiction and suicide. Though their loss is immeasurable, my belief that “families are forever” has provided me with the power, love, and hope to carry on. I am deeply rooted in my faith in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which provides me with strength, peace and continued resilience.
To support my family through this devastating loss, I pursued education as a teacher and a licensed clinical mental health counselor. This background has equipped me with the knowledge and tools to guide others in their mindful health journeys, particularly those struggling with addiction. My personal story fuels my passion to help others find healing, knowing that love and hope transcend even the darkest of times.
